Description

M82 (NGC 3034, also known as the Cigar Galaxy) is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Ursa Major.
The impressive jet of bipolar matter from M82 seems concentrated on stellar clusters and it would be maintained by the energy released by supernovas which would occur in these clusters approximately once a decade (source Wikipedia).
Total exposure  : 183x300 seconds, 15.25 hours.
